No matter the role or project, I’m confident in the skill set I bring to the table. I earned my bachelor's degree at Kutztown University in Pennsylvania with a major in Psychology and a minor in English Literature. I continued my professional learning with graduate coursework at FGCU in Education with a concentration in Language Arts.  I recently graduated with a master's degree in Education; Curriculum and Instruction. Interests

Literature, mind-body connection, writing, nature, neuroscience, art therapy, dancing, yoga, nutrition, and film studies. I love art and science and delving into various subjects that explore this intersection.

Highlights and strengths

Psychology: My major with 3.4 GPA. Coursework included; neuropsychology, child psychology, educational psychology, social psychology, statistics, cognition and perception, and health psychology. I have continued to learn with workshops and online classes in subjects that include mindfulness/meditation, positive psychology, and art therapy. This subject provides a strong foundation in critical thinking and analysis. I have experience working with with individuals in stroke rehabilitation, schizoaffective disorder, autism spectrum disorders, and ADHD. I keep abreast of current research in  neuroscience, social-emotional learning, and cognitive studies.

English Literature/Writing:  My minor at university was English literature with classes in literary analysis, British literature,  American literature, and cinema studies. I continued my language arts studies with graduate coursework in education and classes in developmental reading, instructing struggling readers, trends in language arts, ELA methods, and curriculum studies. I have a love of reading, writing, and research as well as creative and technical writing abilities. 

Arts: My dance background includes 8 years of jazz dance lessons in the studio. I continued to develop as an adult with classes in West African dance, Salsa, and Hip Hop. National Dance Educator Organization (NDEO) certified with passing exam aligned to national dance standards. (DELTA). My creative abilities also extend into website design (such as this site), writing,  and an interest in therapeutic arts and art integration in education. Hobbies include painting, djembe drumming, acoustic guitar, and crafts.
